What is a transcription note
When a creditor initiates a foreclosure on a property, the first formal act is the transcription of the seizure at the Land Registry Office. This act generates a transcription note: a public document with all information about the seized property, the debtor, and the proceedings.
The transcription note is the first signal that a property has entered enforcement proceedings. From this point, it can take 2 to 7 years before the property is put up for auction and appears on public portals.
